これまで原則として査証の発給が停止されていましたが、現在は厚生労働省にて事前に入国者健康確認システムERFS（エルフス）に事前に登録し、下記写真の「受付済証」を取得した方は、現地大使館にて査証申請を行うことができるようになりました。

申請の流れは以下の通りです。

①厚生労働省のホームページで、IDの申請を行います。

②数日でメールにてパスワード等が送付されます。

③厚生労働省のオンラインシステムで、申請を行います。

④以下のような受付済証が発行されれば、在外公館にて写しを査証申請時に添付します。

今回も観光目的の方は対象外ですが、三ヶ月以内の商用の方だけでなく、すでに在留資格認定証明書の交付を受け入国できずにいた長期滞在予定の人も対象になります。観光ビザについては、現在団体旅行に限られています。

Is Japan reopeninig Visa Applications?

From the beginning of this year, visa issuance has been suspended at Japan Embassies and Consulates all over the world in general. From March 1, you will be able to apply for your visa (except for tourist visa) at Japan Embassy or Consulate with Certificate of Completion of Registration to the ERFS Sytem  (called Uketsukezumisho in Japanese) issued by Ministry of Heath, Labour and Welfare. 

First, you will need to find apply for an ID for online ERFS Sytem.  After your password is issued, you will be able to apply for the Certificate. You may be able to apply for your visa at Japan Embassy or Consulate in your country with this certificate.
